At Elsie Mae Zeigler House, we are more than just a group home — we are a family, a safe haven, and a beacon of hope for at-risk youth. Located in Ocala, Florida, our residential group home was founded to provide a stable, nurturing environment for children and adolescents facing homelessness, neglect, abuse, and exploitation.
Founded by a Certified Child Protective Investigator (CPI) with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and a Case Manager for Sunshine Health, Elsie Mae Zeigler House reflects a lifelong commitment to protecting and uplifting children in need. Our founders have witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of trauma and instability on vulnerable youth — and they established Elsie Mae Zeigler House to break that cycle and provide children with a chance to heal and thrive.

We envision a future where every at-risk child has access to a safe and supportive home environment. Our long-term goal is to expand our services by purchasing land and building a dedicated community where children can receive the care and support they need to heal and thrive. This future community will offer not only housing but also comprehensive support services to promote healing, self-sufficiency, and long-term stability.

MISSION
Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for at-risk children, particularly those vulnerable to homelessness, abuse, neglect, and human trafficking. We are committed to offering:
